Filter Media

Engineered Nonwoven Filter Media

Nonwoven filter media is an engineered filtration material produced by forming and bonding synthetic fibers into a controlled porous structure without traditional weaving processes.
Its unique fiber network enables efficient particle capture while maintaining optimized airflow, mechanical strength and long-term operational performance. By controlling fiber type, structure and surface characteristics, these materials can be tailored for different industrial filtration applications.
ZarifTex manufactures industrial nonwoven filter media for dust collection and air filtration systems where reliability, durability and consistent performance are critical. Combining expertise in synthetic fibers, nonwoven manufacturing and functional finishing technologies, ZarifTex develops customized filter media based on specific operating conditions, including temperature, chemical exposure, dust characteristics and dust characteristics, ensuring reliable filtration performance.

Fiber Engineering and Material Selection

The selection of polymer type and fiber characteristics plays a key role in determining filter media performance. ZarifTex applies material engineering principles to develop filtration solutions based on the requirements of each application.
Our filter media can be manufactured using different synthetic fiber technologies, including Polyester (PES), Polypropylene (PP), Polyacrylonitrile (PAN), Acrylic and other specialty fibers.
Material selection is optimized according to factors such as operating temperature, chemical resistance, dust composition, mechanical requirements and required service life.

Filtration Performance & Operational Reliability

ZarifTex filter media are designed to provide a balanced combination of filtration efficiency, airflow performance and operational durability.
The controlled porous structure enables effective particle retention while maintaining suitable air permeability and optimized pressure drop. During operation, the media supports the formation of a stable dust cake layer on the surface, improving particle separation efficiency throughout the filtration cycle.
This balanced design approach helps extend filter lifetime, reduce maintenance requirements and improve the overall reliability of dust collection systems.

Needle-Punched Nonwoven Technology

ZarifTex utilizes needle punching technology to manufacture nonwoven filter structures with controlled physical and functional properties.
During production, parameters including fiber selection, fiber blending, web formation, needle penetration, basis weight, thickness and structural uniformity are precisely controlled to achieve the required balance between filtration efficiency, air permeability and mechanical strength.
The capability to produce single-layer and multi-layer nonwoven structures enables the development of filter media optimized for different industrial applications and operating conditions.

Applications

ZarifTex nonwoven filter media are developed for industries where efficient dust separation and continuous filtration performance are critical.
Applications include:
• Cement manufacturing plants
• Asphalt mixing facilities
• Steel and metallurgy industries
• Power generation plants
• Mining and mineral processing
• Chemical and petrochemical industries
• Industrial dust collection systems

Functional Treatments and Surface Treatment

To meet specific industrial requirements, ZarifTex provides functional finishing and surface modification solutions for nonwoven filter media.
Processes such as calendering, singeing, PTFE coating, water-repellent treatment and anti-static finishing can be applied to enhance the performance characteristics of the filter media.
These treatments improve properties such as surface filtration behavior, dust cake release, thermal resistance, dust penetration control and operational stability under challenging industrial conditions.

Customized Filtration Solutions

Each industrial filtration system operates under specific environmental and process conditions. ZarifTex works with customers to develop filter media solutions tailored to their technical requirements.
Customization possibilities include fiber selection, polymer technology, basis weight, thickness, structural design, surface treatment and functional performance characteristics.
By combining material knowledge, manufacturing expertise and application-focused development, ZarifTex provides reliable filtration solutions designed for demanding industrial operations.
