This treatment involves passing the polyester felt through high-pressure heated rollers. This mechanical compression compacts the fiber matrix and smooths the surface.

Mechanical Impact:
It provides a uniform thickness and a glazed surface finish. By reducing the surface porosity mechanically, it prevents fine dust from penetrating deep into the felt (depth loading) and promotes surface-level filtration.
