Acoustic Panel

Acoustic & Thermal Panel

An Engineered Solution for Sound Control, Thermal Comfort and Interior Design

Our Acoustic & Thermal Panels are engineered fiber-based solutions designed to reduce sound reflections and reverberation, improve indoor acoustic performance, and enhance modern interior design.

The porous and fibrous structure of these panels allows part of the acoustic energy to be absorbed and dissipated within the material when sound waves interact with the panel surface, helping to reduce unwanted sound reflections and improve the acoustic comfort of the space. This engineered fiber structure can also contribute to reducing surface heat exchange and enhancing indoor thermal comfort.

Zarif Mosavar Acoustic Panels are developed based on the company’s extensive expertise and experience in the production of nonwoven materials, industrial felts, and engineered fiber structures. In addition to their functional performance, these panels serve as a decorative architectural element, offering a combination of acoustic control, thermal comfort, and contemporary interior aesthetics.

Acoustic & Architectural Design

In many interior environments, hard surfaces such as glass, stone, ceramic, concrete, and plaster can increase sound reflections and create excessive reverberation. Installing acoustic panels on walls or other interior surfaces helps reduce these reflections and contributes to a more balanced and comfortable acoustic environment.

This feature makes acoustic panels particularly suitable for spaces where speech clarity, concentration, acoustic comfort, and reduction of unwanted reflections are essential.

With a wide range of colors, flexible layout possibilities, and a minimalist design approach, Zarif Mosavar Acoustic Panels transform acoustic treatment from a purely functional element into an integrated part of architectural design and the visual identity of interior spaces.

Sound Absorption vs. Sound Insulation

In acoustic design, it is important to distinguish between sound absorption and sound insulation, as they address different acoustic requirements.

Zarif Mosavar Acoustic Panels are primarily designed for controlling sound reflections within a space and reducing reverberation. Installing these panels on interior surfaces can improve the acoustic quality and listening experience of the environment; however, they are not intended to replace a complete sound insulation system designed to prevent sound transmission between separate spaces.

For projects where the main objective is to reduce sound transmission through walls or prevent noise from entering or leaving a room, a multilayer acoustic system can be applied. In such systems, dense and heavy nonwoven felt layers can be installed behind the acoustic panel to enhance sound insulation performance.

Depending on project requirements, heavy-weight acoustic felts with surface weights of approximately 3200–4200 g/m² can be used as part of the acoustic backing system, while the Zarif Mosavar Acoustic Panel serves as the final visible sound-absorbing and decorative layer.

The final acoustic system should be selected based on the wall structure, noise source, sound level, required performance, and specific project requirements.

Thermal Performance

Fiber-based structures can help limit heat transfer compared with hard surfaces due to the presence of a significant amount of trapped air within the fiber network.

Therefore, in addition to their acoustic performance, ZarifTex Acoustic Panels can contribute as part of an interior design solution by helping to reduce surface heat exchange and improve overall thermal comfort within indoor spaces.

For projects where thermal insulation is a primary building requirement, the type, density, and thickness of the underlying insulation layers should be selected according to the specific project conditions, thermal calculations, and required performance levels.
