Role of Zarif Mosavar Group in the Construction of Isfahan-Shiraz Freeway

Zarif Mosavar’s contribution to South Iran’s travelers

The Isfahan-Shiraz freeway stands as one of Iran’s most monumental road infrastructure projects, extensively utilizing products from the distinguished Zarif Mosavar Group.

As reported by Zarif Mosavar Group’s public relations, this remarkable freeway, which officially opened during the President’s visit to Fars Province, claims the title of Iran’s longest freeway. It extends for an uninterrupted 212 kilometers, reducing travel times by a minimum of two hours compared to its predecessor. Additionally, the freeway is estimated to save one hundred million liters of fuel annually.

The Zarif Mosavar Group played a significant role in the construction and operation of this freeway. Their geotextile products, considered the industry standard in the Middle East, were used extensively in the project.

Geotextiles come in woven and non-woven forms and serve as permeable ground covers, preventing erosion and increasing the lifespan of roads. In road construction and maintenance, geotextiles are used for separation, reinforcement, filtration, and stabilization.

In many instances, geotextiles provide solutions for filtration, drainage, and surface strengthening, contributing to environmental preservation. Their role is fundamental in soil stabilization and pollution prevention.

The contributions of Zarif Mosavar Group have been integral in the successful construction and operation of this significant freeway project, exemplifying the vital role of geotextile materials in modern road infrastructure.
